* last week Fernando Alonso participated in a trial time bike race in his native region of Asturias and the Spanish driver is mounted once again on the podium as he finished in the 3rd position! note that Fernando is an experienced cyclist, doing a lot of bike to train between each Gp. 

* Mark Webber has decided to extend for an additional year his contract with Red Bull, thus putting an end to rumors that  placed him to Ferrari. 

* Romain Grosjean will be penalized 5 positions on the grid of the Gp of Germany, which will take place this weekend for gearbox change ! 

* Maria de Villota is better! she is out of her artificial coma since Sunday and was able to speak to her family. In addition, apart from the unfortunate loss of her right eye, Maria has no other sequel! Finally, after investigation it was found that the car was not at the origin of the crash! but it is still not known what causes it !

Terrible news in the world of F1! the 3rd driver of the Marussia Virgin F1 team , Maria de Villota, was victim of a large crash yesterday morning while she was making aero tests in a straight line on the runway of Duxford in England! While she made her first tour timed, the F1 of Maria suddenly accelerated to finish its road embedded in the ramp of the Marussia truck used to transport the car. According to the latest information, Maria was aware at the time of the crash but suffered injuries in the face and head! She was transported to Addenbrooke hospital in Cambridge. her condition is stable but after surgeries , she lost her right eye ! We are expecting news shortly.

"Since the arrival of Maria this morning about 10: 45 p.m., she received the best possible medical care in this hospital, which is the main centre of the region for the treatment of major trauma." Maria is aware and medical evaluations are underway. "The team in expected results before giving other information."

"Subsequent to yesterday's official statements from the Marussia F1 Team, the surgical team at Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge embarked on a lengthy procedure to address the serious head and facial injuries sustained by Maria in the accident. The operation began yesterday afternoon and she was in theatre until this morning. Maria remains in a critical but stable condition. 

Maria emerged from theatre at Addenbrooke's Hospital this morning after a lengthy operation to address the serious head and facial injuries she received in the accident at Duxford Airfield yesterday. We are grateful for the medical attention that Maria has been receiving and her family would like to thank the Neurological and Plastics surgical teams. However it is with great sadness that I must report that, due to the injuries she sustained, Maria has lost her right eye. 

Maria's care and the wellbeing of her family remain our priority at this time. Her family are at the hospital and we are doing everything possible to support them. We ask for everyone's patience and understanding with regard to updates on Maria's condition. We will provide further information when it is appropriate to do so and with consideration for her family. In the meantime, we would all like to take this opportunity to praise the emergency services at Duxford Airfield, who were on stand-by yesterday, as is usual procedure for a Formula One test. With regard to the accident, we have embarked on a very comprehensive analysis of what happened and this work continues for the moment. Finally, we have been overwhelmed by messages of support for Maria, her family and the Team and we would like to express our sincere gratitude for those.

* The British newspaper "The Times" published a plan of what could be the future Gp of London ! according to some experts this Gp will never happen but the track is worth it !

* Ferrari has made last week some aero tests in a straight line in Spain, with Marc Gene behind the wheel, in order to evaluate new items for the Gp of Silverstone.

* Red Bull and Sebastian Vettel would not object to see Mark Webber remain one more year in the team. The Australian driver is very coveted since a rumor announced him in the Ferrari in 2013! stay tuned ...

The news of Thursday march 3rd

* After having suggested that the Bahrain GP could be held in August (an idea finally abandoned because of the heat too high at this time), Bernie Ecclestone thinks it could take place in November after the Brazilian GP if calm returns by then to Bahrain. A decision will be taken at the next World Council on March 8.
* Bernie Ecclestone, once again, thinks to spice up the races the track should be artificially wet at some point of the races to show the strongest increase in GP in the rain. An idea supported by Pirelli. And you, what do you think?
* According to his manager Daniele Morelli, Robert Kubica is recovering and his rehabilitation is going well but it is impossible for the moment to give a date for his return aboard a f1.

The news of Sunday

*the Malaysian GP could switch overnight from 2015 to compete in the Singapore GP.
* the final testing days in Barcelona have a new date: they have been shifted one day so they will be held from March 9 to 12.
* Kimi Raikkonen said in an interview that the F1 is now over for him and he preferred to devote himself to the rally:
"I dont have no interest in returning to Formula 1. I do not want to talk about Formula 1. The rally, it's where I want to be. And it's good to be back for another season ." said Iceman to the newspaper Gulf News.

Bahrain postponed , the season will start in Melbourne !

So it's official since yesterday, the GP of Bahrain has been postponed to a later date for security reasons. So the season starts in Australia on March 27. Over the last test session that should have taken place in Bahrain from March 3 to 6 has been rescheduled from March 8 to 11 and will be held in Barcelona.

* Robert Kubica suffered a last operation , last Wednesday , to repair his broken bones in his right elbow. The operation lasted eight hours and went very well. Robert would still remain two weeks in hospital and will finally leave the hospital to begin his rehabilitation which should take place in Italy in the same region. Moreover, Lotus-Renault GP confirmed the tenure of Nick Heidfeld to replace Robert Kubica during his convalescence.
* Pirelli has changed its soft tires and super-soft for tests that take place in Barcelona this week. But the medium tires will not change . More Pirelli said that for the first 4 GP, tires to be used will be the soft and hard ones .
* From this week tensions are held in Bahrain where demonstrations are held in an attempt to overthrow the current regime. GP2 Asia Race to be held this weekend has been canceled and the winter testing and the first GP of the season of Formula 1 could be in danger. Bernie Ecclestone has also said he would make a decision next week. Over Barcelona has already indicated that it could accommodate last winter testing in place of Bahrain so it would not be able to do it .

The news of Friday February 11th

* Ferrari has changed the name of its car because Ford was already the owner of the name F150 (which is the name of a model of their cars). Thus the ferrari car 2011 will be renamed italia F150th Italia .
* 11 teams are this week in Jerez for the second test session except of HRT that does not participate. But the small Spanish team will be at Monza from 14 to 16 February for an advertising shoot for Pirelli. HRT will still be present at the Barcelona test.
* Lotus-Renault GP will test this weekend Nick Heidfeld and Bruno Senna to replace Robert Kubica while his recovery even if Heidfeld seems to be the favorite.
* Kimi Raikkonen, whose rumored (ultimately disproved) announced him as a possible replacement for Kubica said he could make his return to F1 in the future.

The news of Thursday January 27th

* Pirelli will differentiate its tires with a different color. Registration P-ZERO will be red for the tires super-soft, white for the tender , blue for the midrange and yellow for the hard ones .the rain tires will also have a color: yellow for the extreme ones and red for the intermediaries.
* The former manager of Michael Schumacher, Wili Weber, would handle the career of Sebastian Vettel who still has no manager.
* Marlboro is about to extend its partnership with Ferrari until 2014. The cigarette manufacturer should do the same with Ducati.

* Fernando Alonso this season will have a personal assistant, Roberta Vallorosi , who will follow him in all his business trips.
* The Virgin Marussia team spent the first FIA crash tests successfully ! a small victory for this team once again designed his car only by computer, without blower.

The news of Saturday January 8th

* the Indian driver Narain Karthikeyan will be an HRT driver for the 2011 season. So it's the big return for the driver who had not raced in F1 since 2006.
* The first Grand Prix of Rome could be held on August 25, 2013 despite the strong opposition from residents and Ferrari do not see a very good eye the arrival of this GP which could threaten the GP of Monza. In addition to that date is normally held by the Belgian GP. Would he been threatened too?
* Karun Chandhok could rebound as a test driver in the team lotus with insurance to have a seat in 2012.

The news of the week part 1

Mark Webber has revealed in his book "Up Front", which recounts his fabulous 2010, he had a broken shoulder just before the Japanese GP after a fall mountain bike and he ran the 3 gp with this latest injury unresectable. Besides, he had had injections of cortisone before the Japanese GP. Only his physio and the doctor of the FIA were aware but not Christian Horner who has also strongly criticized Mark. Since Mark has said that if he did not revealed it it was only because the injury didn't cripple him .
* Pedro de la Rosa is planning to be again a test driver for McLaren in 2011 if he does not find a quick wheel holder in a team. For his part Hulkenberg is confident about his chances of being on the grid in 2011 .
* Nelson Piquet, father and son have won their case against Renault who had accused them of having lied in the case of crashgate singapore. Renault will have to pay them damages and reimbursement for costs of the suit.

* the negotiations between Toyota and HRT have failed, which means that the Spanish team is in big trouble because it has not always car for 2011. Besides, the team plans are to use the 2010 car during the first half of the 2011 season while waiting to see what happens. * Renault is expected to announce the sale of its shares to the company-owned Proton Lotus. The team called Lotus-Renault (Renault to remain in the name of the new team in 2011 for the rights TVs). Note that Renault will be only an engine manufacturer for 3 teams: Red Bull, Lotus-Renault and the other team lotus which maybe will be called Malaysia1 . * Nico Hulkenberg has left Williams and is supposed to be the 3rd Mercedes driver in 2011 .

The new measures adopted by the Fia

* FIA met last Friday to adopt new measures. Here they are : - now any driver who violates the rules of the road driving his car will be sanctioned by the FIA but we do not yet know the range of sanctions. - Now the FIA may issue licenses for the senior staff teams which will allow the Fia to ban someone for life. - FIA has increased the amount of the maximum fine that can give the Commissioners as a penalty. Now it is 250 000 dollars instead of 100 000.

News of Wednesday November 3rd

* Russian Mikhail Aleshin, recent winner in Formula Renault 3.5, could join force india in 2011 but first it would take 10 to 15 million euros budget sponsors. * Nick Heidfeld said he wanted to stay as owner in 2011 but not in a slow team , not in one of the new teams. He would be good in Renault or Force India. * Bruno Senna has confirmed that he was in contact with other teams to quit HRT. He could go to lotus or virgin. Over his steering wheel back in HRT appears to Pedro de la rosa . * It seems that Nico Hulkenberg is not completely ousted from Williams because the team of Grove would like to sign a 5 year contract (with a possible release but only if Nico pay a penalty of 15 million euros). And that's where it seems stuck as Nico did not want to move as many years with Williams.

News of Friday October 29th part 2

* red bull is afraid of having to use a ninth motor on the car of Sebastian Vettel by the end of the season . * Gerhard Berger is full of praise for Fernando Alonso saying the new leader of the championship is now equal Ayrton Senna or Michael Schumacher. * Alguersuari and Sébastien Buemi both planning to take the wheel of Mark Webber when he will leave at red bull. But there will be room for only one then who will be the stronger ?

News of Friday October 29th

Red Bull said it will support any of its two pilots in Brazil as Vettel and Webber will be treated equally. Jenson button, although relegated to 42pts leader Fernando Alonso has not given up the title and does not want to help Lewis Hamilton in Brazil, although the latter has shown the application. * Kimi Raikkonen was expected to continue to rally in 2011 still in the junior team Citroen. Hulkenberg's manager said his driver was not disqualified from Williams and he could keep his flying in 2011. In addition it was reported this morning that Rubens Barrichello could retire at the end of this season which would mean that the seat would be attributed to Pastor Maldonado .

* The duo Jacques Villeneuve- durango decided to pause their project to buy an F1 team to devote himself to NASCAR. * The format of the weekend gp could increase from currently 3 days to 2 days with qualifying on Sunday just before the race and the free practice on Saturday.However christian horner think we should keep the current three days but do scrutineering on Friday to avoid bringing teams from Wednesday . * Peter Sauber, team boss namesake, deplored and strongly criticized behavior "very unsporting" on behalf of the Scuderia Ferrari and McLaren Mercedes Grand Prix in South Korea.These images have indeed escaped anyone, relayed live on television worldwide.
